I’m still relatively new to the whole personal development field I think. I started my self discovery and self improvement journey about 4 years ago when I left my last abusive relationship. It all started, really, reading some great quotes to live by that gave me hope for a brighter future
There was so much for me to figure out on my own about this thing called life. For almost 50 years, I had been doing it all wrong.
So I dug deep into the personal development world. I read blogs, downloaded free pdf’s, watched YouTube videos by some of my favourite peeps like Les Brown, Tony Robbins, Abraham Hicks. You name it, I did it. I found myself on Facebook scrolling through some of my favourite inspirational pages and reading tons of the best quotes about life.
All this is what got me to where I am today. Ironically enough now, here I am 4 years later, making my own inspirational posters for my Facebook page and inspiring millions around the world. Funny how life works.
When you want a better life, I mean really really want a better life, only you can make it happen.

25 Great Quotes to Live By
So here are my favourite great quotes to live by in no particular order.
Don’t forget to share or Pin your favourite quote!
I probably could have made a post of about 10,000 quotes but who has time? I hope you enjoy these, I hope you read them and I truly hope you let them sink into every ounce of your being. Take them in, take in the meanings, the lesson. I love you. xo
Life starts when you step out of your comfort zone. Until then, you’re just existing
Are you just existing? Are you really living the life you want to live? Step out of your comfort zone. Face fear and go live the life you deserve. Now.
Switch your mentality from “I’m broken and helpless” to “I’m healing and growing stronger” and watch how your life changes
I said this for years “I’m stuck here” until one day I realized I wasn’t stuck anywhere. It was my mind and my fear that kept me thinking I was stuck. If you don’t like where you are, move.
If you’re feeling sad today go find another sad person and cheer them up. Then there will be two happy people!
This was a big one for me. For years I wallowed in self pity feeling sorry for myself and wanting everyone else to feel sorry for me. It was pathetic. When I went to volunteer at the homeless shelter, to do something for someone else, my whole world exploded and I suddenly began to get happy!! It was awesome.
Don’t take life so seriously. No one gets out alive. Live out loud, laugh lots, forgive everyone, kiss often and smile all the time!
I spent so much time worrying and stressing out over stuff that I had no control over and I was totally forgetting to enjoy this thing called life. I started smiling at everyone, singing, laughing, splashing in puddles, I grabbed life by the horns and started enjoying it. You should too!
If it doesn’t make you happy, stop doing it!!
This was a fun and hard lesson to learn. If whatever you’re doing isn’t bringing you joy, leave it. It could be your relationship, your job, your city. Whatever. Don’t do anything that doesn’t make you happy. Ever. (other than bringing out the garbage of course)
You are the artist of your life. Don’t give the paintbrush to anyone else
For too long I let other people design my life. I don’t do that anymore. You need to take back your paintbrush and start taking control of your life, now.
Don’t you dare give up
Never ever give up. No matter what. When doors close kick them down and see what’s on the other side. Don’t you dare ever give up.
Look for something positive in each day even if some days you have to look harder
No matter how bad things are right now, find something good, always. If you focus on the negative, more negative will come to you. Find the good, always, and more good will come to you.
Calm down. Seriously. Everything always works out in the end. Your problems are temporary. Chill out.
Most of your problems would disappear if you stopped worrying so much and just calmed down.
No one told you it was gonna be easy but I promise you it will be worth it
When things get hard, people stop trying and give up. Don’t do that. It’s not easy to change and improve your life, but I promise, it’ll be worth it. Keep going warrior!!!!
